Colorado Mountain Wedding Photographers
Colorado has a special place in our heart. Kyle was born and raised in a small town on the West Slope. Growing up, his family would frequently go off-roading in the mountain passes near Ouray and Telluride. The San Juan Mountains directly inform his view of what "good" mountains look like. Like many native Coloradans, he's incredibly proud of his home state and naturally, anything that originates there will likely be his favorite. Come hang out with us and show off your love among the epic views this state has to offer!

Are you looking for places to elope?
Our Favorite Colorado Mountain Venues
Colorado is not lacking in its diversity of incredible locations. With three National Parks, forty-one State Parks, and some of the most gorgeous mountains around, it’s really hard to go wrong! Here are a couple of that we’ve had the privilege of sharing with our couples.
Ten Peaks at Crested Butte Resort, Crested Butte
Crested Butte has created an incredible wedding venue at their Ten Peaks area. As the name implies, from this vantage point you are surrounded by ten majestic Rocky Mountain peaks including Mt. Crested Butte. You can host your cocktail hour at the Umbrella Bar at Ten Peaks and dance the night away under the stars, or under a reception tent. The fields of wildflowers and breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys make this a prime Colorado mountain wedding venue!
Winding River Ranch, Grand Lake
If you take the epic Trail Ridge Road from Estes Park across Rocky Mountain National Park, you’ll find yourself descending into the gorgeous Grand Lake valley with surrounding views of the Rockies. That’s where you’ll find Winding River Ranch, a rustic Colorado Mountain Venue with sweeping vistas of the surrounding mountains.
Della Terra Mountain Chateau, Estes Park
If you’re looking for an elegant flair for your epic mountain wedding, look no further than the Della Terra Mountain Chateau. This gorgeous venue is like a luxurious French chateau dropped in the middle of the towering peaks of Rocky Mountain National Park. Located mere minutes from the park entrance, this venue provides ample opportunities to get those epic mountain portraits!
Really Blessed Cabin, Cripple Creek
The Really Blessed Cabin primarily operates as an AirBnB, but also doubles as a gorgeous location for an intimate mountain wedding in Colorado. Since it's an AirBnB, you and some of your close friends and family can stay at the cabin for the days surrounding your wedding. The ceremony space overlooks a beautiful valley overshadowed by Pike's Peak, one of Colorado's famous 14ers.
Epic Colorado Locations
Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve
This National Park, located 4 hours south of Denver near Alamosa, boasts the tallest dunes in the North America. These dunes are the centerpiece of landscape diversity surrounded by both mountains and grassland plains. Adventure sessions and weddings at the Great Sand Dunes are best done either in the early morning or in the late afternoon, when the low angle of the sun casts dramatic shadows across the peaks of the dunes. Just like the other National Parks, the Great Sand Dunes require a special use permit to get married in the Park and they have a couple of sanctioned locations.
Colorado National Monument
Located on the Western Slope near Grand Junction and Fruita, the Colorado National Monument has sheer red sandstone cliffs that mirror the aesthetic of Utah's National Parks like Zion. The National Monument is managed by the National Park Service and, therefore, requires a $150 permit to get married within it's boundaries. Wedding ceremonies are limited to one of five sanctioned locations: Book Cliffs View, Book Cliffs Shelter, Saddlehorn Amphitheater, Saddlehorn Picnic Area, and Devil's Kitchen Picnic Area. Find more information and the applications for on the National Monument NPS website.
Rocky Mountain National Park
Located 2 hours north of Denver, right outside Estes Park, Rocky Mountain National Park offers some of the most incredible views of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Like the Colorado National Monument, Rocky Mountain National Park is managed by the Park Service and requires a permit that costs $200 and restricts ceremonies to certain areas within the park. The Park also limits the use of any space for a wedding to a maximum of 2 hours. Keep in mind that all of the locations are rustic and won't provide any shelter for the elements.
